Blanca Moedano, Asistente Legal
Blanca se unió al equipo de Vondra Law Office en julio de 2020. Anteriormente trabajó en Gestión de Recursos Humanos, se ofreció como voluntaria en Junior Achievement y sirvió en la Fuerza Aérea de los EE. UU. Actualmente estudia Gestión de Recursos Humanos en la Universidad de Iowa. Blanca nació en Hidalgo, México y es una hablante nativa de español. Habla inglés con fluidez y ha pasado la mayor parte de su vida en los Estados Unidos. Disfruta ayudar a nuestros clientes y apoyarlos en sus procesos legales.
Fuera del trabajo, Blanca disfruta pasar tiempo con sus amigos y familiares. Le encanta estar activa y correr. También disfruta viajar de regreso a su país de origen, México, tanto como puede, y tiene debilidad por el chocolate. Ella aprecia bailar, pero admite que no es uno de sus puntos fuertes.

Brianna Potts, Attorney

Upon passing the Iowa Bar in August 2022, Brianna Potts began her legal career with a focus on medical malpractice. One year later, she expanded her practice by becoming dually barred in Illinois and the Southern District of Iowa, allowing her to serve a broader range of clients in diverse legal areas including divorce and custody, guardianship, landlord-tenant disputes, and general civil litigation. Throughout her career, Brianna’s primary mission has been to assist those who are unable to help themselves, offering compassionate and thorough legal guidance every step of the way. Fernando Rodríguez, Attorney
Fernando Rodríguez is an attorney born and raised in Puerto Rico, with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico and a law degree from Interamerican University Law School. Currently, he is employed as an attorney at Vondra Law Office, PLC. Prior to this, Fernando was employed for more than two and a half years as a Staff Immigration Attorney at Catholic Legal Services in Miami, Florida, where most of his experience was in removal defense.
With a strong practice, Fernando brings a set of professional skills, including legal research, client advocacy, and courtroom representation. He is well-prepared to address complicated immigration laws and develops creative legal solutions that are specific to each of his clients’ needs. Known for his dedication to social justice, meticulous attention to detail, and compassionate client care, Fernando is committed to ensuring fair and effective legal representation.

Lecia Scarpellino, Paralegal
Lecia joined Vondra Law Office for the second time in June 2023, after previously working here in 2007-2008. She has worked on and off in the field of immigration law for 20 years, and is fluent in Spanish. She grew up in the Iowa City area, attending West High and Kirkwood Community College. Lecia has a passion for helping others, and enjoys getting to know the clients and working closely with them to achieve the best possible outcome for their specific case.
Outside of work, Lecia is raising her four amazing children, who keep her on her toes! Free time is a rare commodity, but she loves cooking, reading, hiking, and all kinds of music and movies.

Sage Wheeler, Paralegal
Sage joined our team in 2022, shortly after graduating from the University of Iowa with degrees in Spanish and Sculpture. While in school Sage worked in a variety of teaching positions, and tutored English for Spanish speakers. Sage is fluent in Spanish and has gained hands-on experience in immigration and civil law since joining our office. He enjoys using his skills to guide our clients through their legal case. In his free time, Sage likes to make art and take hikes around Iowa.
